Two additional modules from the Construction Owners Association of Alberta are required to complete the Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) equivalency. The Petroleum Safety Training (PST) CD-ROM Program and the Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) have been granted equivalency. The Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA), Enform and the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) have performed a comparison on the content of the two programs and found the objectives and theory of the training to be equivalent.
As a result of this decision, member companies of the COAA should accept PST wallet card certificates issued by Enform as meeting the current requirement for CSTS certification. In the petroleum industry, companies should accept CSTS certification issued by ACSA as equivalent to any requirement for PST certification.
Students should expect to be on the computer for 4-5 hours.
All PST courses begin at 9:00 a.m.
