The primary goal of the First Aid FUNdamentals program is to have participants understand when to get
help, from whom and how to gauge how urgent a situation is.
Following the completion of the ‘First Aid FUNdamentals Workbook’, students will participate
in a 2 hour session led by an instructor.
FUNdamentals
Course Outline includes:
• STOP activity (STOP to recovery
position)
• Proper hand washing technique
• Choking skills (conscious and unconscious)
• AED discussion and demo
• Bleeding – common injuries (nosebleed,
road rash, cuts)
• Basic Musculoskeletal injuries
(including RICE, types of splints)
• Review activities and scenario
practice-time permitting
We currently do not have regularly scheduled dates for individuals in this course.
