How do you know if you need dangerous goods training? Anyone who handles, ships or receives, transports or offers a consignment for transport requires dangerous goods training under federal law.
Your safety training begins with an understanding of the federal law and who can enforce dangerous goods laws. You will learn how dangerous goods are classified under the international system, safe packaging requirements and how to protect yourself from hazards by familiarizing yourself with safety marks such as placards and labels. Filling out a Shipping document is also part of the dangerous goods course.
Special requirements such as for PCB's, radioactives and explosives will also be discussed. Finally you will complete an open book exam to receive your certification. This course is offered onsite at your facility or at our safety training locations.
